Advanced design at General Motors India
After completing my master's degree, I began my professional journey with the Advanced Creative Design Team at General Motors, which served as my first learning ground.
At GM, I contributed to two distinct initiatives. The first was a concept project called "Whitespace," while the second involved a series of human-machine interaction explorations focused on vehicle navigation systems and the center stack.
Whitespace was aimed at building a micro-car category in the 2-3 Lakh price point, bringing a vehicle platform to India, unique to it’s conditions.
I was working with the US and India market research team to conduct ethnographic research in seven Indian cities and then distill the consumer requirements into a series of car concepts
Second major line of work included designing vehicle navigation systems for Saab, Chevy and Cadillac line of cars.
Chevy Beat was the first futuristic line of cars with electric engine and drivetrain. I was the design contributor on the vehicle navigation system.
